Cheese Categories

Cheeses will be classified into the following categories:

    • Semi-hard cheeses
    • Semi-hard cheeses (flavoured cheeses)
    • Hard and extra-hard cheeses
    • Cheeses with eye formation
    • Surface mould-ripened cheeses
    • Blue cheeses
    • Smear-ripened cheeses
    • Fresh and thermized cheeses 
    • Processed cheese 
    • Pasta-filata cheese
    • White cheeses

  • The organizers reserve the right to modify the categories and number of samples according to the number of cheeses entered.
  • Only cheeses made in the Czech Republic can enter the competition. Cheese produced abroad can be registered in the imported cheeses group.
  • Sliced cheeses will not be accepted.
